December 14, 2012 at 10:10 pm 1 comment

We’ve already done one tutorial on how to make bows out of recycled paper, now here’s another type of bow to decorate your gifts with! This style of bow resembles a bow-tie, hence the name. Hope you enjoy!

Step 1:

Cut out a shape that roughly resembles the shape in the photo below.

Step 2:

Using the hot glue gun, glue the ends of the shape together in the middle.

Step 3:

Now, using the same sheet of paper, cut a thin strip that is the same length as the shape you cut out in Step 1. Affix it to the bow made in Step 2 as shown in the photo.

Step 4:

Now cut a short narrow band for the middle of the bow. Wrap it around the center of the bow and glue it together in the back.

Step 5:

Now cut two slightly longer strips for the tails, cutting out a triangle shape at the end of each strip. glue both strips to the back of the bow. You now have a beautiful, upcycled work of art that is worthy as a gift on its own!
